About this pack
The fantasy pack draws on the standard cast of myth and fairy tale — dragons, unicorns, vampires, mermaids, magic users. Hints describe the creature by its defining trait rather than its name, so “half human half fish” or “a magical horse with a single horn” does the work of pointing you at an answer without simply handing it over.
Solving tips
• These are mostly six to eight letter words, longer than the animal or colour packs, which means more repeated letters to exploit.
• The hint is a definition. Solve the riddle in plain English first, then use the answer to confirm the cipher.
• Creature names often end in the same handful of letters — N, D, R. The final emoji is a good place to test a guess.
Common questions
Are the answers shown?
Yes, in a collapsed panel below each puzzle.
Do I need to know a particular book or film?
No. The creatures here come from folklore rather than any single story, so general familiarity with dragons and wizards is plenty.
